Don Smith

Don Smith is the former President and Chairman of Energetiq Technology, Inc., which he co-founded in 2004. He has founded three technology companies, including Applied Science and Technology, Inc. (ASTeX), now part of MKS Instruments, where he served as Senior Vice President and a board member for ten years. He was also President of Compact Instruments and later Vice President and CTO of MKS Instruments. Dr. Smith, an electrical engineer and plasma physicist with over 50 US patents, previously worked as a Research Scientist at MIT and holds a BS in physics from Davidson College and a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
